The act, at the airport, was attended by the President of Peru Pedro Pablo Kuczynski, accompanied by the Vice President, Mart\u00edn Vizcarra; the Minister for Transport and Communications, Bruno Giuffra; the Minister for Foreign Trade and Tourism, Eduardo Ferreyros; and the Minister for Education, Maril\u00fa Martens. The president and accompanying ministers arrived on the airline Latam\u2019s inaugural flight to officially present the airport to the people of Jauja.<\/p>\n<p>This new piece of infrastructure, which represents an investment of over four million euros, has created great expectations for the multiple economic and social advantages that it will confer on the region. The refurbishment and improvement of the runway surface offers enhanced conditions of both service and safety, and enables the airport to receive larger aircraft. The airport, which could previously only handle craft of up to 70 passengers, can now accept planes with a capacity of over 120 people.
