The work consists of updating and modernising 143 km of track and overhead lines, improving existing underpasses and building new platforms. The execution time is estimated at 12 months, so the new infrastructure is expected to be available to the public in August 2018. The project will increase the speed of trains, from the current 100 km\/h to 120 km\/hour.
