Last Friday the completion ceremony took place for the reinforcement work on the Sant Feliu de Guíxols harbour wall. This contract was awarded to the RUBAU – AMSA joint venture in February of this year.
The project, which arose from the need to reduce the overflow experienced by the harbour wall of the port of Sant Feliu de Guíxols, has consisted in the construction of blocks of concrete, weighing 26 tonnes each, to protect the area and prevent the waves from breaking over the wall and the consequent need for the yacht club to move their boats in the case of easterly gales. The opportunity has also been taken to reinforce the surfaces of the walkway and vehicle access roads and to install more efficient replacement street lighting.
