DW685; RUBAU GROUP CONTINUES TO EXPAND IN POLAND

October, 2018

The Joint Venture formed by RUBAU POLSKA and CONSTRUCCIONES RUBAU has been awarded the contract for the construction of the DW685 road, between Zabludów and Nowosady, on the outskirts of Bialystoc, capital of the Podlaquia Voivodeship.

The contract, which was signed last 20th September, is worth 60 million euros. On this occasion it has been PZDWB, a state-owned company of the Podlaquia Voivodeship, who has trusted RUBAU to take on this ambitious project.

The project involves the renovation of the road surface and the widening of the 24.1 km road. As well as, the remarkable construction of a 780m length bridge over the Narew River. The project includes another minor overpass and 23 civil works of drainage systems, the reconstruction of medium and low voltage networks, street-lighting and sanitary systems. The great challenge will be the laying of 140,000 tons of asphalt within 36 months in a main open-traffic road.

It is the third project of RUBAU GROUP in this eastern region of Poland. Recently, the national highway S-8 (between the boundary of the Masovian Voivodeship and the intersection of the Zambrów bypass) has been completed; and the new S-61 motorway (between the towns of Ostrów Mazowiecka and Szczuczyn) is currently being drafted. These projects are a prolific example of the consolidation of RUBAU POLSKA as a company with recognized prestige in the infrastructures field in Poland.
