Rubau has been awarded the contract for the design and construction of six stations for the new Saltillo–Nuevo Laredo Passenger Train, one of the flagship projects promoted by the Government of Mexico to restore and modernise passenger rail transport in the country.
The contract, tendered by the Agency for Trains and Integrated Public Transport (ATTRAPI), has been awarded to the consortium formed by RUBAU, ASCH, RB Grupo and Grupo Hycsa. With a budget exceeding 3.4 billion Mexican pesos, equivalent to more than €170 million, the project includes the design and construction of the stations at General Escobedo, Salinas Victoria, Villaldama, Lampazos de Naranjo, Anáhuac and Nuevo Laredo.
These stations will form part of the new railway corridor linking Saltillo and Nuevo Laredo, a strategic infrastructure project designed to improve passenger mobility, strengthen regional connectivity and support the economic and social development of northern Mexico.
This new contract marks another important milestone for Rubau Mexico and further strengthens the Group’s position in the development of major railway infrastructure projects. It also reinforces Rubau’s international activity in a market where the company has built a strong presence and is involved in significant construction and concession projects.
