ADIF has entrusted RUBAU with the renovation works of the Bordils-Juià station in the province of Girona, with a budget of 4.5 million euros and a completion period of 15 months.
The work consists of constructing an underpass to connect the platforms, replacing the current level crossing of the tracks, which is currently the only way to connect the platforms, and also improving urban connectivity between both sides of the railway line. Additionally, the platforms will be repaved and extended to reach a length of 210 meters, and signage elements and access points will be adapted to create obstacle-free pathways. The project also includes new canopies and installations for sanitation, electricity, lighting, security, and closed-circuit television.
The aim of the project is to improve service quality by adapting the infrastructure for use by people with reduced mobility, eliminating architectural barriers, removing the track crossing, and creating more inclusive spaces.
