RUBAU AWARDED THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE NEW BIOSANITARY CAMPUS OF UCLM IN CIUDAD REAL

March, 2026

Rubau, in a joint venture with Grulop 21, has signed the contract for the construction of the new Biosanitary Campus of the University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM) in Ciudad Real, a strategic project in the academic and healthcare sector with an investment of over €38 million and a 30-month execution period.

The future complex will have an approximate surface area of 21,000 m² and will consist of five interconnected buildings, as well as landscaped areas and parking facilities. Located next to the Ciudad Real General University Hospital, the campus will strengthen the link between academic training, research and the healthcare environment.

This new space will bring together the activities of the Faculties of Medicine and Nursing, becoming a strategic hub for healthcare education and applied research in Castilla-La Mancha.

Innovation, sustainability and digitalization

The project has been designed under advanced sustainability, energy efficiency and universal accessibility criteria. It will incorporate bioclimatic strategies and digital tools to optimize both construction and the future management of the complex.

It will also be developed using BIM (Building Information Modeling) methodology, improving planning, team coordination and efficiency throughout all phases of the project.

A project that strengthens our positioning

This award represents another step forward in consolidating Rubau’s position in public and university building projects, reaffirming our ability to deliver highly complex infrastructures that integrate innovation and sustainability.

We continue to move forward with projects that generate real impact, contributing to the development of key infrastructures for society.
